Screen printing

Screen printing is normally the preferred option if a large design is required or if the design has a number of colours, and is very economical on large runs. Screen printing produces excellent results on t-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts and other garments and works best on cotton or poly/cotton mix fabrics, including t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, gymsacks, tote bags etc.

A screen is required for each colour & each position printed per design. This means, a one colour front and back print will require two screens if the design on the front is different to the design on the back. If your garment is dark in colour (black, red, navy, green etc) we will need to print a base white (‘flash print’) first to prevent garment dye-migration through the print. This will mean the addition of another colour & screen charge to the print price.

Artwork:

It is important to us that we print your clothing exactly as you would expect to see it. To help us achieve this high standard it is essential that we receive your artwork in the correct format. The quality of the finished job is entirely dependent on the quality of the artwork supplied.

If we receive your artwork in one of the following formats we should not have to make an artwork charge. Charges will be made on a design by design basis, but usually artwork is free of charge.

We use Coreldraw, Illustrator and Photoshop; we would like to receive artwork in colour separated EPS or AI files, fonts must be converted to curves or outlines. All MAC artwork must be saved to a PC format and, if applicable, please advise pantone colours.

If you are unable to obtain vector based artwork, it would help if the artwork is of a larger size than the final print and of a suitable DPI so as not to cause pixilation when being manipulated, usually 300 DPI+. In the event of the artwork still being unsuitable to go to print, we will be happy to assist you in converting it to the correct format. A charge will be made for this & quotations for this service are available on request.

Screen Charges:

A separate screen is required for each colour in your design, each screen costing £15.00 (exc VAT). Please be advised that, if your garment is dark in colour, we will need to print a base white first so that your design is shown in its true colours, this will require an extra screen.

You can post or email the artwork to us at sales@frankcox.biz

Please remember that all costings are subject to VAT at the standard rate.
